MID-STATE REAL ESTATE SCHOOL

SOUTHINGTON CARAVAN INFORMATION
The Mid-State Association holds a caravan in Southington on the first and third Thursday’s of the month beginning at 9:15am. Requests for caravan must be received by the Friday prior to the requested date and payment is required with the request. Submitters are responsible for verifying the showing time of their property. CT EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Every two years, the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection’s Real Estate Commission requires licensees to complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education (CE). For 2018, the State of CT DCP has announced that a 100% audit will be performed on all Salespersons and Brokers licensed in CT to determine that all licensees have complied with and satisfied the requirements stated below:
- 3 Hours “Fair Housing” (mandatory for 2016-2018 CE cycle)
- 9 Hours of approved Real Estate Elective courses.
OR You may elect to pass a 40-question Connecticut Continuing Education Examination administered by PSI. Contact the testing company (PSI) directly at 1-800-733-9267 or visit www.psiexams.com.
CE courses must be completed before the expiration of your license:
- Broker licenses expire on March 31, 2018
- Salesperson licenses expire on May 31, 2018
Brokers – If you passed the Connecticut Broker full licensing examination between 4/1/2016 and 3/31/2018, you do not need to take the continuing education courses. (The date used is not the issuance date of your first license, it is the exam date.)
Salespersons – If you passed the Connecticut Salesperson full licensing examination between 6/1/2016 and 5/31/2018, you do not need to take the continuing education courses. (The date used is not the issuance date of your first license, it is the exam date.)
ELECTRONIC LOCKBOX, RULES, REGULATIONS & KEY INFORMATION
The Mid-State Association is proud to offer our members the newest Technology in Electronic Keys from SUPRA. The eKsmartphoner smart phone as your electronic key with a small adapter.
Also available is the XpressKey. The XpressKey does not need a cradle to update nightly. This key automatically updates itself using cell tower technology. You just charge it up like a cell phone.
Keys are available at the board office. Please call to set up an appointment to get your key.
Electronic Lockboxes are also available. We are offering the Supra IBOX to our members. Please call the board office to make arrangements to get your supply.
