We have been getting a lot of calls at the office lately about CE Classes. People suddenly thinking they need to have their classes done by May 31 of this year and why aren’t there classes available for them. It kind of surprises me that we get these calls from members who have been in the business for years and years (and years..). We expect the calls from our Newbies. They don’t know yet, what they don’t know.
So just in case anyone has forgotten, CE is required to be completed in the even years. March 30 for Brokers and May 31 for Sales Agents. You are given 2 full years to get your 12 credit hours done. This cycle, there are 2 Mandatory classes: Real Estate Agency Law Review and Fair Housing Pt 1 and Real Estate Agency Law Review and Fair Housing Pt. 2. Your other 6 hours are all electives. NAR requires you to complete a Code of Ethics class before Dec. 31, 2020, so it would be a great idea for you to make that one of your elective classes. As always, you can take your classes in person or online. If you choose to take your classes in person at some place other than with Mid-State, we will not know about it!! If you would like us to update your education record on the Navica site, you will need to send us a copy of that CE Certificate, same with your online classes. The CE Shop usually sends us a completion notice for ethics, but nothing else.
And as you may or not have heard, we are doing our Points for Participation program again this year. Taking a class with us is worth 500 points, sending us a copy of your CE Class from an online class is also worth 500 points.
